PARENT INVOLVEMENT:
Parents are invited and encouraged to
participate in the operation of the Daycare
in any number of capacities. The
Daycare is managed by a Parent Board of
Directors and involvement at this level is
welcomed. The Board has a Fundraising
Committee and from time to time, will enlist
the assistance of parents in fundraising
projects designed to improve our facility.
Parent communication is very
important. Parents should feel
comfortable to bring any complaints or
concerns to the staff. We are very
parent directed and feel that it is
important to ensure that the families needs
are being met through the centre to the best
of our ability. Phone calls to care
givers as well as daily morning or evening
chats with staff are encouraged.
Parents are encouraged to
volunteer their time for special events and
outings. We welcome extra hands on
field trips and may approach you for
assistance on a specific event. On
occasion, parents have access to items or
events which may be of interest to the
children. We appreciate any resources
you may have such as magazines, fabrics,
other potential craft materials or items of
interest. Please approach any of the
staff with ideas or suggestions you might
have.
Although we are
fully aware of the busy lives parents lead,
we invite you to participate with your child
in Daycare events. Your relaxed presence
assures your child that Daycare is a fun,
exciting place to be!
