Learning and Growing Daycare is a non-profit organization.  This means that any money earned over and above operating expenses goes directly back into the program to provide your child with exceptional care and a stimulating learning environment.  As many of you are aware, Learning & Growing relies heavily on parent support and participation in fundraising efforts to meet its goals and to maintain a quality center.

The Board of Directors has outlined some short term and long term goals for Learning & Growing Daycare.  They include the following:

1.   Staff – Ensuring that we attract and maintain well-educated, experienced, dedicated and caring individuals for our children.  To do this we must offer competitive salary and benefit packages. 

2.   Staff Training- We will continue to advance our knowledge and expertise in all areas of child development.  We have established a staff training fund that will enable our staff to participate in a wide variety of staff training opportunities.

3.   Program – To offer a progressive, child-oriented, stimulating program for our children.  To do this we must be financially stable so that we are able to make purchases and offer interesting curriculum for our children.  We will continue to modify our program to meet the needs of the children and families.  Our multi-age groups have proven to be a very positive change.

4.    Special Events- This year you will see more special events geared towards   celebrating special occasions.  We will be looking at providing more "in house" entertainers and learning opportunities for your children to  participate in.  In addition we will providing your children with a special lunch each month.               

In addition, we would like to be able to offer incentives for the staff in the way of Christmas bonuses and celebration of Week of the ECE, which is usually  recognized in April.
