What meals do we provide?

We provide 2 nutritious snacks each day.  The first snack is served between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.  The second snack is served between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.  All snacks follow criteria set out by Manitoba Child Daycare and the Canada Food Guide.

Our hours of operation?

The Preschool Center is open from 7:00a.m. - 5:30p.m. Monday- Friday

The Infant program opens at 7:30a.m. - 5:30p.m. Monday - Friday

We close for all statutory holidays.

Christmas Closure :  During budget preparations the Board of Directors will consider whether or not it is financially viable to close for additional days during the week of Christmas.  These days (if closed) would be at no cost to the family.  Parent fees would not be charged if the center opts to close on days other than statutory holidays.  All families will be notified of the closure by July 1st in order to give everyone adequate time to make alternate arrangements.

Do families pay for days taken as holidays?

Yes.  Families are responsible for paying full fees for days taken as holidays.  This includes summer vacation as well as Christmas holidays.  The exception to this is when the Board of Directors decides to close the center for days over and above statutory holidays.  See above re: Christmas closure

Do we take subsidized families?

We certainly do!  We ask that all families have subsidy in place before they enroll in our center.  Information regarding subsidy can be obtained at www.gov.mb.ca/childcare or by calling our Subsidy Advisor at 945-2621.

Does my child have to nap?

No.  We currently have a group of "nappers" and a group of "non-nappers".  When deciding what is best for your child in regards to napping please remember that the environment here at the center is very different then the environment at home.

Does my child have to go outside if sick?

If your child is to sick to go outside, then they are to sick to be at daycare.  Due to requirements of Manitoba Child Daycare, children are required to go outside for alteast 30 minutes everyday.  Also, as we are a group care facility we need to limit the possible exposure of sickness to other children.
